Loloi Rugs Makes $100,000 Donation to Support Humanitarian Aid Efforts in Turkey

Loloi Rugs has made a $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross for Turkish Earthquake Relief to support humanitarian aid and relief efforts for the people of Turkey, following the devastating earthquakes.
“This recent tragedy in Turkey hits us so personally, as we have many factories, workers and close ties in the country,” said Amir Loloi, founder and owner of Loloi Rugs. “We want to help ease the burden of the Turkish relief workers and support the American Red Cross’s humanitarian efforts, and we encourage others in our industry to help as well.”

According to Associated Press, the death toll has risen to 38,000 in Turkey and Syria, and survivors are still being found. Due to the inclement weather, these efforts have been made more difficult, and relief teams are in need of basic supplies, blankets and winter clothing.

Along these lines, Loloi has set up a matching donation program with its employees who wish to donate dollars to the cause, as well as an employee donation drive for clothing, blankets, and health and personal products.
“Our hearts go out to our partners and colleagues in the region as they have been working through this tragic situation,” added Loloi. “We want to make sure we are doing our part to support their immediate relief needs, while helping workers return to some sense of normalcy.”
