ART Community Service Projects

Our service mission

ART is strongly committed to giving back to the communities which hosts our yearly conference.   We have successfully completed projects for veterans facilities, homeless shelters, transitional housing, children’s charities and hospitals and substance abuse recovery facilities.    We are proud of our work and grateful for our vendor donors who supply the product and supplies for these projects every year.

2025 Service Project

For more than 60 years, Camillus House has envisioned its service to the poor and homeless as a continuum of care which empowers clients towards personal rehabilitation and proactive integration as productive members of the general population. Their vision for tomorrow is always built on the ideals of their founding mission which aims to provide every client with opportunities to combine personal and community resources in order to affect physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Camillus House programs include development initiatives that include:
• Emergency assistance with food, clothing and shelter.
• Job training and placement.
• Residential substance abuse treatment and aftercare.
• Behavioral health and maintenance.
• Health care access and disease prevention.
• Transitional and permanent housing.

2024 Service Project Sponsors

Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana

Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana Veterans Services program provides transitional housing and rehabilitation services for homeless male veterans referred by the Veterans Administration in the Greater New Orleans area. Available in two facilities, one located on Napoleon Avenue and the other on Pitt Street, veterans receive the therapy needed to overcome substance abuse, gain job skills, and enhance mental health. They also have access to housing and a full continuum of rehabilitation services.

This program offers more than just shelter. Over a 24-month period, veterans benefit from intensive case management, support services, and treatment. The staff works individually with each veteran to develop a personalized plan to rebuild their lives. Upon stabilization, residents save a percentage of their income, establishing a reserve for future expenses as they transition into permanent housing outside the program.
